Students will learn the basics of chess including:
as well as build off knowledge they already have about chess.
Chess is an incredible tool to help increase a child's focus, concentration and ability to problem solve: numerous studies have shown an increase in standardized test scores among students who take a weekly curriculum chess class. We hope that our chess program will help the students of PS 452 reach their full potential.
Starting Monday September 11th.
-Afterschool classes will take place on Monday starting September 11th 2023 up to December 18th 2023.
-Classes will begin immediately afterschool until 4:30pm.
-There are classes available for all ages and levels of chess player.
-Discounts available for siblings and registering for both days.
-Scholarships available as well.
-All students who register will receive a free gold membership to chesskid (a $50 value).
